Established in 1923, the Police and Fire Protective League of Los Santos originated from the collaboration between the city's police and fire departments to create a unified retirement system. Over the years, it has advocated for its members, securing benefits and negotiating contracts. In 1973, it split into two entities: the Los Santos Police Protective League and the United Firefighters of Los Santos City. Today, the League continues its mission through collective bargaining, educational initiatives, legal assistance, and government advocacy. It collaborates nationally with organizations like the National Association of Police Organizations and participates in the Big 50, sharing insights and best practices within the law enforcement community.
